Lately, I haven’t felt very secure in my relationship with Jesus, or God for that matter. It has gotten to the point where I just wanna give up, but aomething is telling me to keeo hangin on. I just need to know if this is norml, & mybe receive some suggestions on how to strengthen my…
I’ll just reblog this with an answer
I’m roman catholic, I don’t go to church every single Sunday, but I don’t feel bad for that, but it doesn’t matter to me. I serve God in my own way.
Everyone has that time in their life when they start to question their faith, and no one has been exempted from that. it just comes in different ways. Saints are prime examples. St. Peter, founder of the christianity, the apostle of Jesus, denied knowing Jesus for his safety. Do you think he just spouted a lie when he said he didn’t know Jesus? do you think he never doubted his faith with Jesus? Even Jesus had that time in his life when he wanted to give up. Agony in the garden is about Jesus saying fuck all of these, but yeah in the end he just went through with it. I’m not going to ask you to be just like Jesus, and just pray for an answer though.
Most people would say that what you feel is God’s way to test you. uh, yeah ok. Maybe it’s true, but I really don’t know.
I won’t open the door and point you back to your faith. You have to look for it. I’ll just give you instructions. There are two things that could happen, either you give up your faith entirely, or your faith becomes stronger. Reading your entry, you’re in that frustrated and confused state, and the fact that you’re asking for help, you must want to believe. Question what you know about your faith first. and explain that to yourself, what do you think is the answer? Why is that? It will confuse you, it will break your heart, it may even cause you depression. this is a cycle that would go on entirely throughout your life, questioning and doubting your faith.
I’m sure you still know how to pray. Do it. When Jesus doubted God’s orders, that’s what he did. Agony in the garden is all about jesus saying fuck all of you to God like some teen filled with angst. I’m sure I will get angry protest for that… but right now, you are in the same place Jesus was.
Everytime you feel that way, just ask God where he is. Congrats, you just recited one of Jesus’ last words. everytime you’re suffering, pray. Everytime you doubt, pray. The best way to bond with someone is when you have been through rough circumstances together, it’s the same with God. Don’t expect things would go smoothly despite praying. Sometimes it will, sometimes it wouldn’t. But all those times, you will feel that God has always been there with you. Jesus is there with you. He will be passively going through with what you’re feeling.
if you decide to give up your faith entirely, then I would respect that. I know God would too since Jesus has asked him a long time ago to forgive. I believe he gave you the right to choose. I will still wish you for God’s blessing for your soul. But I will not ask God to point you back to your faith. If you do then good for you, if you don’t ah well. You’ll have your own interpretation of what is God, who he is etc. just remember, one thing that is constant: he is benevolent. He never asked you to suffer.
reflect, pray, and enjoy whatever the outcome of your faith. God will bless you.
so drama,. can’t she like, move on? it’s almost 2 years since they broke up. their relationship lasted for less than 7 months. their relationship wasn’t the best in the world either, since it was mostly about her and she’s the one who broke up with the guy
girl, seriously you’re the one who promised me you would never bother if we became a couple. where’s your promise now?
